Music-based Mindfulness
Shinzen has developed several successful music-based mindfulness programs. Equally successful has been a program to teach music-based mindfulness to disadvantaged teenagers at the King Street Youth Center in Burlington, Vermont. Soryu Scott evolved the "Mind the Music" program and currently implements it through The Center for Mindful Learning. Soryu appears in the following videos along with the students who movingly describe what that experience has been for them.
